Mam2Mam ("we," "us," or "our") operates a social and marketplace platform that lets mothers connect, message each other, and buy and sell with people they trust. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Account information: your email address and password (securely handled by our authentication provider), display name, and optional handle.

Profile information: bio, profile photo, and the country, state/region, and city you choose to share — this helps you find and be found by people near you.

Content you create: posts, comments, likes, follows, private messages, and marketplace listings.

Payment information: when you buy or sell through the Marketplace, payments are processed directly by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details — Stripe handles that under its own security standards. We keep a record of the order (item, amount, buyer, seller, and status) to confirm your purchase.

Technical information: standard information such as browser type and general usage of the app, collected automatically to help the app run properly.

Cookies: we use a single cookie to remember your chosen display language.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate and provide the app's features to you
• To personalize your experience, such as location-based people search and suggestions
• To process marketplace purchases and mark items sold
• To send you notifications about activity relevant to you (likes, comments, follows, messages)
• To keep the community safe, including reviewing reported content
• To communicate with you about support requests

4. How We Share Information

We share information only where necessary: with our hosting and database provider (Supabase) and our payment processor (Stripe), both of which are bound by their own privacy and security obligations. Your public profile, posts, and marketplace listings are visible to other users of the app as part of its normal operation. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. Payment card data is handled entirely by Stripe under PCI-DSS compliance. That said, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Choices

You can edit or delete your profile, posts, and listings at any time from within the app. To request deletion of your account or data we hold about you, contact us at the email below.

7. Children's Privacy

Mam2Mam is not directed at, and should not be used by, children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

8. International Users

Mam2Mam is used by people in many countries. By using the app, you understand that your information may be processed in a country other than your own.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Mam2Mam, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of legal majority in your country if higher, to use Mam2Mam.

3. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Please provide accurate information when you sign up.

4. Your Content

You own the content you post. By posting on Mam2Mam, you give us permission to display and distribute it within the app so other users can see it. You're responsible for what you post. Content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, impersonates someone else, or is spam is not allowed and may be removed.

5. Marketplace & Payments

Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings. Buyers and sellers transact directly with each other; Mam2Mam provides the platform but is not a party to the sale itself. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Once a purchase is completed, the listing is marked sold. Any disputes about an item's condition, delivery, or refund should first be worked out directly between buyer and seller; we're glad to help facilitate contact if needed.

6. Prohibited Conduct

• Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
• Posting illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive content or listings
• Attempting to access another user's account
• Using the app to spam or scrape data
• Impersonating another person or entity

7. Moderation & Termination

Users can report content that violates these terms. We may review, remove content, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Use, at our discretion.

8. Disclaimers

Mam2Mam is provided "as is." We do their best to keep the app running smoothly and marketplace transactions safe, but we don't guarantee the app will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any user or listing is accurate or trustworthy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Mam2Mam is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including disputes between buyers and sellers.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
